Starting in the summer of 2021, while the Tourist Information Centre was still largely inaccessible due to the construction of the traffic circle, we created the Qualicum Beach Enthusiasts Program. The idea was to provide visitors with a warm welcome and local information about the village, through friendly people walking around and offering a hand. Our volunteers, Carolyn and Dennis, were outfitted with matching uniforms featuring white hats and a shirt with a passionfruit pattern and matching button that read "Passionate about Qualicum Beach". Our Enthusiasts walked the village regularly to ensure that people had a friendly face to chat with about all of our local shops, attractions, and amenities.
Since then, the program has continued and Carolyn and Dennis can be found at events and on busy days offering a warm welcome to all.
